It begins with you
Kendall Dominique is a community nurturer, herbalist, and educator dedicated to helping individuals cultivate sustainable self-care practices. As a Black woman with Filipino ancestry, she honors the wisdom passed down through her lineage, blending holistic care practices that center nourishment, balance, and community support. Raised in a home with four generations of wisdom, Kendall was shaped by a legacy of love, laughter, and deep care values that continue to guide her work today.
Kendall earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work and has spent the past 13 years working across micro and macro nonprofit spaces. Her work has supported individuals impacted by gender-based violence, human trafficking, and mental health challenges. Through these experiences, she developed a deep understanding of the emotional and heart-centered labor involved in community care, and the importance of having tools that support sustainability.
After experiencing burnout in her late twenties, Kendall began exploring herbalism, yoga, and healing circles. Along the way, she discovered that while the practices were powerful, it was the community and the space to be held that felt most transformative. This journey ultimately inspired the creation of Ancestral Wellness Co., a space rooted in ancestral wisdom and collective healing.
Today, Kendall’s work focuses on teaching practical, accessible herbalism that can be woven into daily life. She creates healing spaces centered on patience, gentleness, and deep listening, with a commitment to meeting people where they are. At the heart of her practice is the belief that healing is both personal and collective, and that nurturing ourselves is an essential part of caring for one another.
